Cylindrical Weights of Model No. SWPI: 171-176 are also Test Weights used as standards for the verification & calibration of weighing instruments. These Weights are also used as standards for verification or calibration of weights of a lower accuracy class. These Weights have cylindrical shape with knob rounded edges. SWPI’s Calibration Weights are made of high quality pig iron for smooth surface, mirror like finish (so that foreign materials may not accumulate on its surface). The cylindrical shape with knob handle makes it suitable to be lifted easily by hand. The adjusting cavity is placed as per drawing. The adjustment cavity is sealed using lead plug to make it water tight. The adjusting cavity are kept sufficient room to allow future adjustment of mass due to wear and tear.
